ABOUT LAWRENCE TECH
CAMPUS
We’re about “Theory and Practice” – taking
abstract ideas into the real world to solve
tomorrow’s problems. Our reputation comes as
much from what we’re doing now as it does from
our storied past.
Lawrence Technological University was born
in 1932 and for more than 85 years,Lawrence
Tech has continued to prosper and accelerate its
growth, hone its educational philosophy of theory
and practice, build important community and
professional alliances, and forge partnerships with
the businesses, organizations, and industries.
DON RIDLER FIELD HOUSE
Don Ridler Field House was built in 1987 and is the home of the Blue
Devils men’s and women’s basketball and volleyball teams.
The main multi-purpose court houses six baskets and is also marked for
volleyball. Elevated around the gym area is a fitness track.
On the west side of the building sits the fitness center with multiple
treadmills, elliptical machines, and various cardiovascular machines. A
separate room near the fitness center houses free weights.
TEAM HISTORY
The men’s basketball program had its inaugural season back in 2012, and since then
progressing in an upward trend. Year after year they improve not just as athletes but
strong students and women. The talent has steadily increased over the last couple of
years and the team chemistry is on an upward trend as well. LTU has high expecta-
tions for this season and are looking to continue their success from their core group
of experienced upperclassman.
The team is coming off a 6-10 record in the year of COVID-19, but return the core
group of upperclassman who will lead this group and their success all season. With
the experience this team has this year they are looking to suprise many people in the
WHAC.
