               This method is used when one of the rope’s ends is already attached to the object
               being secured, but the other end is free.












































               1. Make an overhand crossing turn around the fixed object. Pass the working end behind the object. (The
               working end is short in the photo for clarity. It would normally be as long as the standing part.)
