7. The finished Sheepshank.





                  Sheepshank refinements: If the Sheepshank is being used to bypass a weak

                  section of rope, the weak section should be at the top of the middle crossing
                  turn in Step 1. When the knot is tightened, the weak section will run directly

                  between the tightened crossing turns to the right and left and will not be a
                  part of either of them. The size of the crossing turns can be varied to take up

                  more length of rope (make the middle crossing turn larger) or to make a pair
                  of larger loops (make the right and left crossing turns larger).
