Too Much Water
Panic and chaos, that’s what people in North California felt this week,
when the Oroville dam, the tallest dam in the United States, had too much
water after a few weeks of rain. A large amount of water reached up to the
houses of the settlements close to the dam, and the police told about two
hundred thousand people to leave (their) homes. (They) worked all night to
repair the dam, and in the morning even the rain stopped and the sun came
out, but until (they’re) sure that the dam is strong enough the two hundred
thousand people can’t go back to their homes.
