Children Without a Smartphone

Na’ama realized that there’s nothing to do anymore, her son will attend the
third grade and many kids from his class have smartphones. So she
organized a purchase of “stupid” phones, phones with no internet that
(you) can only call and text from. Na’ama was able to buy stupid phones
for eighty percent of the kids, for a cheap price. Sigal too, a mother of two
daughters in the second and third grades, decided that she doesn’t want to
buy a smartphone for her daughters. She talked to the parents at the school
and invited people to talk about the subject. But what’s most important to
remember is that children do what their parents do, so if we don’t want
them to be on the phone all day long, we have to make a change too.
