Guidelines from your virtual coach
Now, let us “decipher” our first acquaintance dialogue that you watched on
the video. We will break it into small chunks.
On the next page, we will learn a basic question in masculine and feminine
forms:
• What do you want?
On the left side of the page, you will have the new vocabulary in English,
and on the right side, we added the Hebrew in a phonetic format.
This way, you will be able to read and connect to the sounds of Hebrew
easily.
Listen to the recording and, at the same time, follow the text with your eyes.
Start with the first question: What do you want? (masculine and feminine).
And follow the answer: * I want __________, please.
Keep on going till the end of the page.
Good luck!!!
* Pay attention: In Hebrew, the verbs (in this case – want) in masculine and
feminine forms have different sound patterns in the present tense.
Usually the ending “A” will indicate feminine form.
Throughout this unit certain steps, such as 2 & 3 may occur several
