Guidelines from your virtual coach
Now, let us practice this dialogue in the feminine form.
Pay attention to the sound pattern of the verb ‘want’ – ROTZA in Hebrew,
which ends with the ‘A’ sound.
Listen to the recording and, at the same time, repeat it aloud while filling in
the Hebrew column using phonetic writing.
It is imperative that you recite the text aloud – it will increase your
confidence in speaking and comprehending.
Keep on going till the end of the page.
Good luck!!!
* Pay attention: In Hebrew, the expression ‘BE’VAKASHA’, depending on the
situation can be used as: ‘Please’, ‘You are welcome’, ‘Here you go’.
Also note that most Israelis do not care to use numbers in Hebrew correctly.
Therefore, in our materials, in most cases we use the numbers, the same way
Israelis use those in colloquial Hebrew, (which is not the right way).
Specifically in our dialogue we use ‘SHMONE SHEKEL’ instead of
‘SHMONA SHKALIM’ – ‘eight shekels’.
