Uzi Khitman
In Israel, everyone knows Uzi Khitman.
Little children, older children, and adults – Uzi Khitman writes for everyone.
Uzi writes more than 640 Israeli songs, about children, politics, war and peace.
Many singers sing Uzi’s songs.
Uzi’s music comes from home. In Uzi’s home the listen to the Beatles, the
Rolling Stones and also songs and prayers from synagogue.
Uzi loves to sing to children and speak with children and he has a TV show
about dreams.
Children come to the show and tell Uzi what they want to do and what their
dream is, and Uzi helps them.
Uzi dies at the age of 52 and all of the people in Israel are sad when he dies.
Today in Petach Tikvah there is a school named after Uzi Khitman.
