Dialogues 21-22

There are people who can’t be without their phone for a few
minutes. They are always available, they always answer calls and
messages, and they get back to numbers they don’t recognize. If
they suddenly don’t have reception, they don’t know what to do. I
think it’s a little pathetic. When I don’t have time, or when I don’t
want to speak with people, I don’t answer (lit. I filter them out). I
know this might not be nice, but I’m not sorry and I don’t have a
problem with it. If I am speaking on the phone and I have call
waiting I don’t stop the conversation. Anyone who wants to speak
to me will wait patiently until I get back to him, and if it is
something critical he will call again! I’m happy sometimes when
my battery runs out, and really don’t like when people leave me a
message on my voicemail! Two days ago my battery ran and I was
happy that I finally have a little bit of quiet. The problem is that
people have left me many messages in the voicemail, and I really
don’t like that.
