Sara: Hello! I’m Sara, the landlady.
Tamar: Hello-hello. I’m Tamar and this is Daniel.

Sara: Daniel, are you also looking for an apartment?
Daniel: No, I’m just helping Tamar.

Sara: Cool. Ok, come in.

Tamar: Thanks.

Sara: Ok, this is the kitchen. [There is] Everything (is) here: A fridge, a stove, an

oven, toaster, a microwave and kitchen cupboards.

Tamar: Are there also mice?

Sara: What?!
Tamar: Nothing, nothing. Let’s go to the living room.
Sara: All right. This is the living room. You (can) see that it’s big and furnished:

There are two couches, a television, a table and chairs.

Tamar: Yes, I see. Would it be possible to see the shower?
Sara: Yeah, sure. Here – This is the shower. There’s a toilet and bathtub here. Do

you see that the shower is very clean? The housemates like cleanliness.
Tamar: Yeah, my mom likes cleanliness as well… Say, are there problems with the

Hot water in the shower?
Sara: What are you talking about? There’s a boiler as well as a solar heater. In the

summer, when it’s sunny [there is sun], there’s hot water all day and all night.

In the winter, the boiler is on [works] for 20 minutes and you have hot water.

Tamar: Excellent. And where is the

bedroom?
Sara: Here. This is the bedroom. It’s completely furnished: A [clothes’] cupboard,

table, chair and bed – and it’s all for you. Well, what do you say?
Tamar: I don’t know… The rent is 1,300 shekels a month, right?

Sara: Right.
Tamar: Ummm… Could I speak with Daniel for a moment? Is that ok?
Sara: Yes, that’s ok.

Tamar: So, Danny, what do you think?
Daniel: I say it’s a pretty, big and furnished apartment. The rent isn’t high. I think

signing a contract is a good idea [it’s a good idea to sign a contract].

Tamar: Fine. Sara?

Sara: Yes?

Tamar: Is it a deal?
Sara: It’s a deal! We can sign a contract tomorrow evening.
Tamar: Excellent! Tomorrow evening. We’ll talk.
