Part 1

Daniel: Tamar, what are you doing tomorrow?
Tamar: I’m going to look for an apartment.
Daniel: Really! Is this the first apartment you’re seeing?
Tamar: First apartment? What are you talking about? I’m looking for
an apartment for four months already.
Daniel: Four months?! What, it’s so hard to find an apartment in
Jerusalem?
Tamar : Wow, it’s really hard.
Daniel: How many apartments have you seen?
Tamar : I’ve seen six apartments, but there were problems in all the
apartments.
Daniel: What [which] problems?
Tamar : In the first apartment there was a leak in the shower. In the
second apartment there were electricity problems. In the third
Daniel: apartment there were mice in the kitchen…
Tamar : Mice in the kitchen?!
Daniel: Yeah, mice.
Tamar : Oh my… And in the fourth apartment?
In the fourth apartment there was a big and pretty living room,
Daniel: a decent kitchen, a new shower and a nice bedroom.
Tamar : So what was the problem?
The housemates. The housemates in the apartment were
Daniel: musicians. Every night at 1:00 at night, they play the
saxophone.
Tamar : Saxophone at 1:00 at night?! That really is a problem. Ok,
what about the fifth apartment?
Daniel: The fifth apartment was big and pretty, with nice housemates,
but it was on the eighth floor.
(On) the eighth floor with an elevator, right?
