Want to Lose Weight
Lia, Arik and Noam are [lit. children who suffer from] overweight
children. They diet, do sports, and the parents help at home too. In the past
twenty years there are more and more overweight children in Israel.
Already in first grade every fifth child is overweight. One of the hardest
things for overweight children is the treatment by others. In our world
beautiful is thin, and the children want to lose weight because they think
that (people) don’t love them. For instance, Noam is dieting in order to be
fit at his Bar Mitzvah. He loses seven kilos in the past year, but is still
embarrassed to take (his) shirt off at the beach.
