For a long time, the music we listen to on the radio (has been) a part of
Israeli politics. So who are the singers we listen to the most? Depends on
which radio stations you listen to. On public stations, like Galey Zahal,
Galgalaz and Kol Israel, the most popular singer is Arik Einstein, after him
are Shlomo Artzi and Shalom Hanoch. More in the top ten places: Chava
Alberstein, Yehudit Ravitz and Gidi Gov. in the local stations it’s a
different picture: in first places are Eyal Golan, Moshe Peretz and Dudu
Aharon. Singers like Chava Alberstein or Gidi Gov aren’t even on the
playlist. The only singer who is popular on all stations is Shlomo Artzi. So
which singers do (we) love listening to the most in Israel? The answer
changes from station to station.
