Unit 4 – Start Food Shopping in Hebrew

Rafi asks:
I finished high school in Tulsa, Oklahoma last year and I came
to Israel to fulfill a dream: to study in a Yeshiva.
But my problem is that I feel (like) an "outsider".
I don't have any close friend in the Yeshiva. The rest of the boys
know each other from the high school or from youth movements
in America. I feel lonely most of the time. When the guys hang
around and chat during the breaks, I sit alone like a dummy. I
fear to start talking to the guys, because I am afraid they won't
pay attention.
When everybody plays basketball or baseball, I don’t know how
to join them without feeling like a jerk.
What can I do?
