Dear Rafi,
Your wish to be accepted in the group is a very old wish. Who
does not want to be loved? Who will give up the dream to be
with many friends, to be center of the class?
The aspiration to be acceptable in the group is a strong
aspiration of almost every child and also of the adults. But, there
is not any secret patents for being accepted.
How to overcome the shyness? How to overcome the fear of
being rejected?
Before I will try to answer the question, it's important that you
will know that one real friend is preferable to being a part of an
"accepted" but not "accepting" group.
To decide not "to get into a shell"
Sometimes our thoughts can influence the reality and to
materialize without the help of magic. If you will try to join the
game and fear in advance that they will reject you, the friends
will feel that you are scared and insecure and they will prefer
not to play with you. This will increase your insecurity.
On the other hand, if you will recognize your own value, and
will demonstrate confidence and openness, everybody will
return you (with) "the same coin".
