The Twin Houses
In Neve Tzedek there are two twin houses – they look the same [thing].
In the twin houses live the grandchildren of Rabbi Shlush: Moshe and
Marco. Moshe and Marco are cousins.
Moshe and Marco’s parents tell them: Do you want to receive a house?
You need to get married. We are building [for] you a house for the
wedding. Moshe gets married and receives a house from his father. Marco
doesn’t get married, but he wants to receive a house. Marco’s father tells
him: “All right, I’m building you a house. But you need to find a wife!”
Marco listens [hears] to his father, travels to France and finds a wife. The
wife is called Paulette, and Marco loves her very much.
One day, Marco and Paulette go on a trip, and a mosquito bites Paulette.
Paulette is allergic to mosquitoes and she dies.
Marco is very sad. He goes everywhere with a small picture of Paulette and
never marries [gets married] again.
