Unit 9 – Express Your Wishes

Now that you are familiar with the person in front of
you, you’ve asked him all the basic questions, but we
still have a lot of vocabulary about food that you
haven't used yet. How can we get to it?

By using two little words…

Unit 9, Track 1 To Eat, To Drink

English ‫ִע ְב ִרית‬
to eat ‫לאכל‬
to drink ‫לשּתֹות‬

This verb will be used as in English after a word you already know,
want = ROTZE (m) / ROTZA (f)

We previously used the verb ROTZE / ROTZA when requesting food.

Let's use it in a sentence. ‫ִע ְב ִרית‬
‫ֲאני רֹוצה‬
English
I want (m) ‫לאכל טֹוסט‬
to eat toast
I want (f) ‫ֲאני רֹו ָצה‬
to eat toast ‫לאכל טֹוסט‬
I want (m)
to drink Coke ‫ֲאני רֹוצה‬
I want (f) ‫לשּתֹות קֹו ָלה‬
to drink coffee
‫ֲאני רֹו ָצה‬
‫לשּתֹות ָקפה‬
