Act Out
Part 1
Daniel: Aunt Ruthie, what a meal! You worked hard!
Aunt Ruthie: Oh, it’s nothing, just breakfast.
Uncle Nati: Nothing beats a good breakfast, eh Danny?
Daniel: Nothing beats a good aunt.
Aunt Ruthie: Ah, what compliments! It’s good that you’re here,
Danny.
Tali: Why, we don’t pay [give] you compliments?
Aunt Ruthie: Not really… I don’t remember compliments about
breakfast at home.
Benny: Sure… Because you never prepare breakfast for us.
It really is good that you’re here, Danny.
Daniel: Ok, ok… enough. Tali, Gil, what’s happening?
Do you play basketball?
Gil: Yeah, sure! I play in the school team.
Daniel: What do you say! Can I come see you play?
Gil: Sure.
Daniel: And you, Tali? Do you still play the guitar?
Tali: I play, but I don’t have a lot of time to play.
Daniel: Really? What a shame… Why don’t you have time?
Gil: She doesn’t have time because all day long she
gets dressed, or goes to the cosmetician,
or talks on the phone with her friends.
Tali: Quiet, Gil! I don’t have time because I study. I have a
lot of exams at school.
Gil: There are also a lot of guys at school.
That’s why Tali needs to dress [get dressed] well and go
to the cosmetician.
