The Ultra-Orthodox Take to the Streets
The ultra-orthodox (people) in Israel go out to demonstrate on roads and in
the streets, because they don’t want to enlist to the army. They’re angry
that the government tells them that they need to enlist, and they do
everything in order to change that. Many times there’s violence in these
demonstrations, either by the ultra-orthodox side or the police side, and it
isn’t pleasant. There are many more people demonstrating in Israel these
days, the disabled for instance, and each of them wants to get what they
think they deserve.
