Driving Without (your) Phone

One of the main reasons for car accidents is using one’s phone. In order to
try and prevent and reduce this, Israeli guys invented Radiomize, a smart

steering wheel cover, which is supposed to make our driving experience
safer and smarter. It constructs a radio according to our music preferences,
and will even read news flashes for us. We’ll still be able to get calls, but

you’ll only be able to make calls when stopping, in order not to risk (your)
driving. Radiomize launched its campaign today on the fundraising
website Indiegogo. They want to raise seventy thousand dollars. In the
meantime it’s available in English, Hebrew, Spanish, French and Italian.

The price, by the way, is very surprising. About sixty dollars during
fundraising, and ninety dollars later on. There are many apps in this market
meant to help us drive safely, other apps will simply lock our phone when

they recognize we’re on the move, and maybe it’s just better to put the
phone down [on the side] and listen to the radio.
