IM, Unit 6
Act out from English.
1 Brakha tells:
2 I have three children: a baby, a daughter [who studies] in second grade and a son
[who studies] in sixth grade.
3 Unfortunately, I didn't have a childhood like my children (have); for different
reasons, which this is not the place to tell about, I studied only for a few years in
school and I later made (great) efforts to complete at least an elementary
education.
4 Even today, I try to continue studying, but not in an organized way.
5 The problem, or more accurately one of the problems, that arose for me lately, is
that it is difficult for me to help my son to prepare (do) his homework.
6 From day to day it becomes apparent for me, that the material that my son studies
is difficult for me.
7 I feel that when I studied in school, the studies were less difficult.
8 I find myself often in an uncomfortable situation.
9 I can't help my son do his homework, but on the other hand it's hard for me to
admit it, and I try to avoid the issue in all sorts of ways.
10 My son, Ron, asks for my help and not (his) father's help because my husband
works until a late hour.
11 He is independently employed, and has a small business that takes up a lot of time.
12 My husband is more educated than I am and I have no doubt that he could have
helped my son successfully, or at least better than I could.
13 A few of my friends suggested that I should send my son to private lessons
(tutoring). What do you suggest I should do?
