Grandma Cooks Gourmet
This is a project by the Shorashim group that started a year ago: twenty
four seniors cooked along with twenty four chefs in the book ‘Grandma
Cooks Gourmet’. Eighty nine year old Sonya Topel cooked Kugel with
Eyal Shani, and eighty six year old Esther Rusak cooked with a chef for a
restaurant in Tel Aviv. Nine thousand books have already been sold, and
the book will take part in the Gourmand International competition, which
is like the Oscar’s for cookbooks, in China in May, and might get to be the
best cookbook in the world.
