AL, Unit 4
The three were launched together to space 4 months ago. They
spent 4 months very close to each other in the Russian space
station "MIR" and they returned back to Earth just last weekend
inside the American shuttle "Atlantis".
The complaints of the Russian cosmonauts about their American
colleague got wide coverage in the German newspapers. "Each
time contact was established with Huston, Thagard complained
how much he missed his wife and his kids", told the tough
Russians who, unlike Thagard, spent [passed] their time of
isolation in space peacefully – hundreds of kilometers above
Mother Earth.
The Russian complaint list on Thagard is very long:
1. He did not want to eat with us.
2. He did not perform the medical tests he was supposed to do
during the flight.
3. He behaved strangely during TV interviews.
4. He complained all the time about the cultural isolation, in
spite the fact that he speaks fluent Russian etc…
