After reviewing and practicing regular Hitpa'el form, we can now learn
and practice some irregular forms. In the following chart, the first verb
column (from the right) represents the regular Hitpa'el form. The rest are
irregulars differing in their sound structure across different tenses:

In order to make it a lot easier for you to understand, remember and use
the irregular verbs, we will emphasize the commonality of those in
relation to the regular verbs.
The leading element is usually the infinitive form. Like in the case of
the regular verbs, it determines the sound pattern of the conjugated
verbs. There is always a very close connection between the infinitive
form and the sound pattern of the other tenses.
