Exercise: Act out the dialogue in Hebrew while looking at the English
text. Use other names than in the original dialogue when acting out.
Story – a History Test
Teacher: Students, quiet please. Listen [hear], on next Thursday you have a
history test.
Student: Next Thursday? No, it’s not good. Maybe we’ll set a different day?
Teacher: Why? What’s the problem?
Student: On Wednesday night I have a birthday party.
Teacher: Oh, really. So set the party for Thursday night. We won’t set a different
day because of your birthday, right? Okay, are there (any) more
problems or questions?
Student: Yes, teacher. Maybe instead of a history test, we’ll go for a trip in
Jerusalem? Jerusalem is a very historic city.
Teacher: If everyone will succeed in the test, maybe we’ll go for a trip in
Jerusalem, okay? And now, enough with the questions. Good luck!
