The Israeli Family
In Israel (they) celebrate Family Day, and this is a good time to check a
few things. According to the Central Bureau of Statistics, the Israeli family
is changing. Today, an average Israeli family has four people. The number
of couples who live (together) without getting married tripled in the past
ten years, but still, ninety five percent of couples get married at the
Rabbinate. There are more single parent families, and women who choose
to have a child on their own. Tel Aviv has the most childless couples.
Everyone knows that children are an expensive business, and really, a
family with children spends one and half times more than a childless
family.
