No Work in Yeruham
The employees at the Negev Ceramics factory in Yeruham have to look for
a new job today. Six months ago Negev Ceramics buys the factory in
Yeruham, and is already closing it down now. The workers feel like no
one cares about them and that the reason (they’re) closing down the
factory is in order to bring ceramics from a cheap place like China, and not
pay Israeli workers who cost more money. There are already a lot of
people in Yeruham without a job, and now there are a hundred and forty
more unemployed people, each of them with a family that needs food at
home. The workers promise that this isn’t the story’s end yet.
