A King in South Tel Aviv
On Rosh Hashana at a park in south Tel Aviv, all the members of the Ibbo
community in Israel come in order to receive their new king. The Ibbo
community are people who immigrate to Israel from Nigeria twenty years
ago. They believe that they are a part of the ten tribes, from the Gad Tribe,
and (they) keep the Jewish tradition. In Israel (they) treat them like all the
refugees from Africa, and it’s hard for them with money and with Israeli
bureaucracy. They think their king can help them.
