During the final moments before the explosion, by miracle, the
Walkie Talkie went back to working. The Palmach soldiers
hear: “Don’t escape, don’t escape, the enemy is escaping.”
And so, the Palmach soldiers decided to stay and saw the enemy
escaping. And they say about this battle:
“Remember, when it rains, the enemy also gets wet, and the
person who wins is the one who lasts the longest.”
And so we won, the Palmach won one of the most important
battles to the Jewish settlement of those days.
