Moving from Infinitive Form to Future Tense

In Binyan Pi’el we omit the infinitive form prefix ְל , while maintaining

the sound pattern of the infinitive form:

...(E)...A...E...

Instead of the ְל we use prefixes corresponding to the pronouns.

As an example let’s use the verb to talk – רֵּב ַדְל. Follow the arrows to

find the prefixes used for each pronoun.

to talk – רֵב דְל

רבד ֵ ← רֵבד ְל

Pronoun  ← ← ← ←
Prefix ְנ וּנח א נ ְּ ה וּ א ְ ת אי ִה/ה ָ ת ַ א א י * א ִנ
ְי

רֵּבּד + ַ ְנ רֵּבּ ַד + ְי רֵּבּד + ַ ְ ת רֵּבּד + ַ א
Prefix 
רֵּבּד ְנ ַ רֵּבּד ְי ַ רֵּבּד ְ ת ַ רֵּבּד א ַ

Now we will also need to add the corresponding suffixes:

Pronoun  וּ+ְי ← ם ֵּה +וּ ְ ת ← ם ֶ ת ַ א + י ְ ת ← ְ ת ַ א
