The Baha’i Gardens
The Baha’i religion is a young monotheistic religion which today has six
million followers (believers) in the world, and it is popular primarily around
(in the area of) India.
The Baha’i religion believes in aesthetics and hygiene, and one can see that in
its structures and gardens.
The Baha’i Gardens are one of the more popular tourist sites in the Middle
East. The gardens are located in the center of Haifa, on Mount Carmel. There
are nineteen gardens, each of which looks a little different, but they all have
paths, beautiful bushes and colorful flowers.
Baha’i followers from all over the world worked on the gardens. In July
2008, the gardens were chosen to be on UNSCO’s “World Heritage Sites”
list.
