The Bible Hill

The Bible Hill is an open hill over the Jerusalem Khan across from
Jerusalem’s train station. The hill is one of Jerusalem’s urban nature
sites. This is the last natural area in the center of town.
The Bible Hill remained unbuilt thanks to the British. When they
arrived in the country, Jerusalem was neglected and dirty. They
brought garden architects to preserve the green spots in Jerusalem.
(People) believe that this is the mountain mentioned in the book of
Joshua (15, 8):
“And the border went up by the Valley of the son of Hinnom unto the
side of the Jebusite southward--the same is Jerusalem--and the border
went up to the top of the mountain that lies before the Valley of
Hinnom westward, which is at the uttermost part of the vale of
Rephaim northward.”
The hill changes during every season, and every year in the fall, one
can hike and see many beautiful flowers.
The visit to the urban nature site is free. (They) ask the visitors to
walk only on the marked trails, so that everyone could enjoy the
nature (site).
