Ziv Shilon’s Marathon

This month it will be exactly three years since Captain Ziv Shilon’s injury,
and we’re with him. Three years during which we’ve learned that when
this red head decides something, there’s no force on Earth that will make
him back down. Evening of the flight to Berlin. He’s been training for a
whole year towards the run due tomorrow, but for Ziv, like Ziv, there has
to be another simultaneous challenge. His wife, Adi, is nine months
pregnant and is about to deliver their firstborn daughter within days.
Possibly even during the marathon. After a year of grueling training, it’s
suddenly not even clear that Ziv will make it (in time) for the delivery.
And yes, if you were worried, don’t, the officer that won over everything
defeated, what else, the biological clock as well. (And) landed back at
Soroka’s familiar corridors to welcome his firstborn daughter, and hug his
wife.
