Dialogue 1- What Time is It in America?

Yisca: Excuse me, do you know what time it is now?
Gidi: Yes, now it's ten thirty.
Yisca: Ten thirty… so what time is it in America?
Gidi: I don't know, why?
Yisca: I want to talk to my boyfriend in New York, but I don't

know what time it is there.
Gidi: I understand. One moment, I have an aunt in America.

Gidi calls.
Galya: Hello?
Gidi: Good morning, Aunt Galya, it's Gidi!
Galya: Gidi, do you know what time it is!?
Gidi: Sure! It's ten thirty in the morning!
Galya: Maybe in Israel! In America it's a quarter to three at night!
Gidi: Oh no! Why are you speaking on the phone at a quarter to

three at night?
Galya: Why?! Because you are calling at a quarter to three at

night! Why are you calling?
Gidi: Because I want to know what time it is in America. Now I

know. Thanks! Good night!
