Daniel: , Shira…
Shira:
Daniel: Yes?
Now you know why I’m making Aliyah to Israel. You know that I’m a bit of an Israeli and a
Shira: bit of a gentleman, and I know that you’re pretty and sweet, and that’s it.
Daniel: What? Pretty and sweet isn’t enough?
Shira: It’s a lot, but I want to know more.
Daniel: Ok… What do you want to know?
Shira: I want to know where you’re returning from now.
Daniel: I’m returning from a trip in Thailand.
Shira:
Daniel: Well, of course.
Shira: Why [what] ‘of course’?
Daniel: All Israelis travel to Thailand after the army, don’t they?
Shira: Not all Israelis… Half travel to South America.
Daniel:
Shira: But everybody travels.
Daniel:
Shira: Not everybody, but a lot.
Daniel:
Shira: How long were you in Thailand?
Daniel:
Shira: Half a year.
Daniel: Wow, that’s so much fun!
Shira: Yeah, loads of fun.
Daniel:
And what do you want to do now?
Shira: How should I know? Maybe work…
Daniel:
Shira: Do you want to go to university?
Driver: Yes, but not now. I don’t know what I want to study.
Shira: You know, it’s very interesting. In America, we go to college at the age of 18. In Israel,
Daniel: people go to the army, afterwards travel to Thailand and afterwards think for a year or two
Driver: (about) what they want to do.
Shira:
Daniel: What, is that a problem?
No, what are you talking about?! It’s not a problem at all. It’s not like in America, but it’s not
a problem. It’s interesting.
It’s really fun speaking with you, Shira.
Thanks, with you too.
Maybe you’d like that… Could I get your phone number?
Mevaseret! Get off fast please!
Oh, I have to get off.
What? But…
Come on, quickly!
Ok… Daniel… goodbye!
Goodbye…
