A Special Girl
Leia Zhu is just ten years old and has an extraordinary talent. She (has
been) playing the violin since she was three. At age four she performed
before thousands of people and at age five she already went around the
world to play. Every Saturday her family drives six hours in a trailer from
Newcastle to London so that Leia will go to school at the prestigious
music school, where she gets a scholarship. She goes to school there for
two days, and on Sunday night they go back home. Leia has a little brother
and her entire family does everything so that she’ll continue to learn and
be the best at what she does. This summer she’ll come to Israel to play the
violin at Kibbutz Eilon along with sixty other musicians. Her teacher says
that there’s only one child like Leia in a generation.
