NH-Unit 4
Act out from English.
Actor 1 What do you do at your uncle’s and aunt’s in Jerusalem?
Actor 2
We go on tours in Jerusalem and in (the) Jerusalem area. In the evening we go to a
Actor 1 movie or to a restaurant. Sometimes, my cousin teaches me to play the guitar. She
Actor 2 plays very beautifully, and I like learning with her.
And what do you do at your uncle’s and aunt’s in the kibbutz?
Actor 1 Oh, it’s really cool. My cousin works at the dairy barn and I love helping him there.
Actor 2 We get up at 4 in the morning and go milking. At noon we’re very tired and we go to
Actor 1 sleep for an hour or
two. In the afternoon we go swimming at the kibbutz pool.
Actor 2 Sounds fun… It’s a shame I don’t have cousins in Israel.
Actor 1
Actor 2 But you have a grandfather and grandmother here.
That’s true. Hey, maybe on my next summer in Israel I’ll come visit your uncle and
Actor 1 aunt on the kibbutz?
And I’ll come visit your grandpa and grandma in Netanya.
Actor 2
Actor 1 Cool! (We) just need to ask mom.
It’s ok. In a week you’ll have a Bat Mitzvah, and I’ll have a Bar Mitzvah. We’re
already grownups [big children]. Mom will allow for sure.
I’m not sure. When dad and mom don’t want to allow me something, they say to me:
“You’re still a little girl. And when I behave like a little girl they say: “You’re a big
girl already” …So what am I?
You’re a little-big girl.
It’s a shame I’m not a big-little girl.
