                                              Israeli Couscous
For seventy years Israel (has) invented many things that changed the
world. A lot of technological things, and fewer food and culinary stuff –
up until today (they) argue where did the falafel, tahini, hummus and
shawarma come from. But (they) don’t argue over one thing – about
‘ptitim’. They came to the world in the fifties, when there wasn’t enough
food and Ben Gurion asked Osem to invent a food that’s cheap and could
replace rice. At first (they) only ate ‘ptitim’ in Israel, but when Osem
started making round ones, the world fell in love and called them Israeli
Couscous. Today (you) can find Israeli couscous in restaurants all over
Israel, and definitely in every home in Israel.
