The Future is Already Here
If you’ve driven in Jerusalem in recent weeks, it’s possible that the car
driving next to you was an autonomous car. True, there was a driver in the
car, but it was driving entirely on its own. MobilEye chose to drive the
autonomous car specifically in Jerusalem because it’s very difficult to
drive in. They believe that if the car will be able to pass the test in
Jerusalem, it will be able to drive well in any city in the world. Today
there are thirty five MobilEye cars, but in two thousand twenty one there
will already be eight million. Two thousand twenty one is really soon, but
there are still a few more problems to overcome, like regulations,
bureaucracy, and mostly – making people believe in this technology.
