Dialogue 11 - Shopping at IKEA

Shoshie: So what do you need to buy?
Ron: I don’t need, but I want a lot of things. Oh, this is pretty! How much

      does this cost?

Shoshie: Oh, this is on sale, it’s only 1,550 shekels.
Ron: 1,550 shekels?! That’s a sale? I’m no Rothschild… And how much is

      this?

Shoshie: This costs 1,200 shekels.

Ron: Really? That’s very expensive! It’s cheaper to shop (lit. do shopping)

      in England.

Shoshie: Are you kidding? Ikea in England is like Ikea in Israel!

Ron: Oh, really? If you say [so], but maybe if we speak with the seller it

      [will be] only 1,000-1,100 shekels?

Shoshie: Are you kidding? Ikea is not a marketplace. Only if there is a sale it’s

Ron: cheaper.
I don’t have money for this now!

Shoshie: You know what?

Ron: What?

Shoshie: Do you have fifteen shekels?

Ron: I do, but what can you buy (lit. what is possible to buy) with fifteen

      shekels?

Shoshie: Hotdogs. I’m hungry.
Ron: Oh, I’m also hungry. Okay, good bye, Ikea!
