Summary Dialogue 1 – Osnat and Eyal Meet

Eyal: Osnat! What’s up? How old are you now? Where do you live?
Osnat: Eyal, it’s fun to meet you! I’m 23 now, I’m a student in college and I live
with my family in a big and beautiful house in Jerusalem.
Eyal: Really?! How great! Do you want to sit to eat lunch and tell me about
your life?
Osnat: Gosh, I can’t, I need to go home. I have a big kitchen with a pretty
window and a big table and I love to eat there with my family, and you?
Eyal: Me? I live with my wife in a small apartment on the fifth floor and there
is no elevator!
Osnat: Oh no, so why do you live there?
Eyal: Because the apartment is close to my office. I have a patent office. My
office is in a big building and in it there are thirty floors!
Osnat: And is there an elevator in the building?
Eyal: Yes, but my office is on the second floor, so I go up the steps. And what
do you study in college?
Osnat: I study philosophy and mathematics.
Eyal: Wow, that’s hard, you need to study a lot.
Osnat: Yes, quite a lot, in college as well as at home.
Eyal: Where do you like to study in your house?
Osnat: I have a big garden and I like to study there in the morning, because my
parents are at work and my little siblings (lit. brothers) are at school.
(The phone rings, Eyal answers)
Eyal (on the phone): Wow, that’s great, I’m on the way! Excuse me, Osnat, my
wife is in the hospital, I need to go visit her, I’m a father!!
Osnat: Wow, congratualtions, Eyal!
