Yair I’m hungry… when will we arrive in
Israel?
Shira In a long time. But we get a meal on the
plane.
Yair I don’t like the food on the plane. It’s
not tasty.
Shira That’s true. It’s not tasty. But when I’m
hungry I can eat e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g!
Yair And I can’t [not]. I can only eat things
that I like. My mom says that I’m
spoiled with food.
Shira What do you like to eat?
Yair I like schnitzels. My dad makes the
tastiest schnitzels in the world.
Shira And I like 4th of July food. I love eating
barbeque.
Yair Ya, me too!
Shira What do you eat at home on Shabbat?
Yair Chicken, rice and potatoes. Sometimes
we have [eat] a dairy meal, and then
mom makes a pie.
Shira And we eat meat and fish. For dessert
we eat a hot chocolate cake that is sooo
tasty.
Yair And what do you eat on birthdays?
Shira On birthdays we usually go out to a
restaurant. Every time, the birthday
child chooses which restaurant to go to.
My big brother likes to go to a meat
restaurant, to have [eat] steak and
skewered meats. My little sister likes
going to a dairy restaurant, to have [eat]
pizza and ice cream. I like to go eat
hamburgers or falafel.
Yair That sounds fun!
Shira Ya, it really is fun.
