Item #3 (Advanced Level)
The Astronaut who Lives in Space
Over the past year he became NASA’s most famous astronaut. Scott Kelly,
who was sent to the international space station for three hundred and forty
days, in order to simulate a space mission to study Mars, and broke all
records for a man’s stay in space. He managed to fascinate millions all
over the world [to him] via (his) Twitter, Facebook and Instagram updates.
But it seems that after a year in space, he too has gone a bit insane. With
his returning any day now, he’s already fantasizing about the small joys in
life prevented from him in the year he spent in space. By us on Earth, he
left daughter Charlotte and life partner Amiko, who makes sure to send
him videos to remind him of the small joys in life. Over the past year Scott
conducted more than four hundred scientific experiments, and dedicated
quite a bit of time to conversations with students. Kelly will return to Earth
exactly on March first.
