Going to the Military
Last week the Supreme Court decided something dramatic, and rescinds
the enlistment bill, which says that the ultra-orthodox can get an
exemption and not enlist to the military. Eight judges thought it was time
that everyone in Israel would enlist to the military, no matter where you’re
from and what you believe in. One judge, Noam Sohlberg, thought (they)
shouldn’t rescind the bill, he said that the drama in the government and by
the ultra-orthodox would be too big, and that (we) don’t need them in the
military right now. The ultra-orthodox in the government are angry and
say that the problem is with the Supreme Court. They want to think about
a bill that the Supreme Court can’t rescind.
