• Orly began teaching Hebrew in traditional Ulpanim, and
from the beginning she sought ways and methods to teach
Hebrew faster and more efficiently, compared with the
conventional way of teaching “Hebrew in Hebrew”. And she
experimented with some new approaches and methods.

• In the early 1990s, a big wave of immigration arrived from
the Soviet Union. Realizing that she had a different
approach to teaching Hebrew, Orly was approached by a
number of renown scientists, professors and lecturers with
a request to teach them Hebrew much faster then had
been originally scheduled.

• They did not want to spend many months in the Ulpan and
come out with just rudimentary Hebrew. Their aim was to
become part of the university staff in Israel as quickly as
possible and lecture in Hebrew.

• - We're ready to be your “guinea pigs”, they told Orly.
• And here they graduated in 3 weeks, compared to 3 months

which they originally had to invest in the regular program.
