Giving Wholeheartedly
Thirty years ago, when Yakov was a young man, he donated a kidney to
his sick father, and gave him ten more years of a happy life. Now Yakov
needs a kidney too. If he hadn’t donated (his) kidney to his father, he could
have continued living with one kidney, but he doesn’t regret (it) at all. In a
few months his kidney will stop working and he might have to wait for a
few years for a donation from another person. In Israel there aren’t many
families who agree to donate the organs of relatives who passed away.
Yakov would be happy if this changes.
