GET INSPIRED
Instagram is full of inspiration; you can easily see what works and what doesn’t as well as the current trends. Apartment Therapy (apartmenttherapy. com) is another fantastic resource for interior design inspiration and my personal favourite. I personally prefer Pinterest for larger projects; making a board is a great way of tying your ideas together.

Our Kings Croft Sales Executive Victoria is a DIY expert having renovated several properties and recorded her DIY journey on her Instagram page @homes_ by_victoria_rebecca. We spoke to her
for some inspiration and advice. For years she completed full renovation projects on run- down houses, but opted for a new home once her two-
year-old Miles came along. “Like most people, I bought a new home for the lack of work needed on it. The last thing you need with a new-born is heaps of building work going on around you, and the development I chose was perfect
for its proximity to my parents.
“Decorating is my favourite part of house renovating so I originally planned on keeping it simple, but with time on my hands I’ve taken on some bigger projects to truly personalise our home.
“Quarantine has been spent tiling the hallway with a more interesting pattern and modernising the downstairs bathroom, as well as starting an extension at the back of the house.
“Harron’s focus on customisation means a lot of these choices can be implemented at the build stage within both our standard specification and our Excellence range. The extensive range of options from kitchen choices (down to the handles you want), tile combinations and wardrobes allow you to extensively personalise before you even move in.
“So while I’m renovating my bathrooms because of the lack of choices offered by my housebuilder, a Harron Home buyer would be able to make all these upgrades prior to moving in rather than living through the chaos of renovating and focus on the DIY projects they enjoy!”
