About Assam Centre For Rural Development (ACRD)
Assam Centre For Rural Development (ACRD) is a registered non-profit organisation established in 1995. It is registered under the Societies
Registration Act XXI of 1860.
It was founded by Late Dr. Lily Mazinder Baruah, a well-known social worker of the North Eastern Region and youngest daughter of Bharat
Ratna Late Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi, First Chief Minister of Assam.
ACRD has been working towards socio - economic development of the poor and tribal communities in Assam through interventions in various
thematic areas such as health, education, livelihood and skill development, disabled rights, child rights, human trafficking and women
empowerment.
