MUSIC NEWS
In August, the Music Department staged its annual whole school Music
Concert Vita Musicale in the T. W. Cuff Hall before an audience of more than
200 parents.
Audiences were treated to performances from every student involved in
the myriad music programs offered at BMGS from the Early Learning Choir
to the Senior Orchestra. The concert was a non-stop two hours of uplifting
and toe-tapping entertainment, featuring everything from rock to musical
theatre, classical to contemporary. There was something for everyone, and
the joy experienced by the students in performing for a live audience for the
first time since 2019 was evident to all.
The concert culminated with a spectacular combined Choral item featuring
our three Choirs, conducted simulatenously by Mrs. Debbie Smith (Head
of Music), Mrs Allison Lewis (Junior Schools’ Music Specialist) and Mr John
Forbes (Year 5/6 Performing Arts class teacher).
