Three of our students represented BMGS in the Rowing
NSW Independent Schools Championships on Saturday,
          th
19 November at the Sydney International Regatta Centre.
It was with great excitement that the new BMGS Zootie
rowing suit design finally made its first appearance after a
       long wait (COVID.)
Olivia Harris (Year 11) started the day off in excellent style
in the 2km Division 1 Schoolgirl Single Scull (Open Age) and
achieved a Silver medal with a time of 8.47 mins.

Later in the day, Year 8 students Jessica Harris and Sophia
Whitelaw teamed up in the 1km Div 1 Schoolgirl Year 9
Double Scull and achieved another Silver medal for BMGS
with a time of 4.12 mins.
It was a brilliant effort, with all three girls coming home with
       a Silver medal for BMGS.

Earlier this year, Olivia Harris was named as the recipient of
The Woolworths Scholarship which has been the pinnacle
award for the Western Sydney Academy’s highest achieving
       male and female athletes.
Olivia is a multi-talented young athlete with not only
excellent achievements in Rowing, but also in the sport of
Netball. This year, Olivia was named MVP for the Academic
Games in their Division 1 Netball team, the Penrith Valley
